I fell in love with Caye Caulker the moment I set foot on the island for the very first time almost 20 years ago. We visited on vacation from Michigan and found a true “no shoes, no shirt, no problem” laid-back lifestyle.

Over the following years, we spent almost every vacation day on Caye Caulker until my husband and I made our dream of living on a Caribbean island come true when we purchased an apartment building in Caye Caulker, quit our corporate careers, and moved to beautiful Belize almost 10 years ago.

For us it was not the first international relocation, since we had lived in Europe, the U.S., Brazil, and Mexico, but it was the easiest. With English as official language, straight forward real estate law, and a short flight back to the States in case of getting homesick, moving to Belize was smooth sailing.

I relocated many expats for international automotive companies from Europe to Mexico and the U.S. when I  owned a relocation company in Mexico that also included real estate services. Speaking English, German, and Spanish, I was able to make the move for many foreigners much easier. I have 10 years of relocation and intercultural training experience and I joined RE/MAX Caye Caulker in the beginning of 2023.
